Twitch explains bank data leak
The streaming platform Twitch suffered a few days ago from a leak about a massive part of the bank datas. Streamers salary, secret project with Amazon, the source code of the platform… More than 125 Go of data have been revealed by an anonymous leaker. Many international streamers quickly confirmed the leak, but Twitch was pretty discreet about it.
Employees denounced the lack of reactivity from Twitch about this security flaw. Finally, the company decided to officially answer the users. It confirmed the leak, saying that they were still working on the impact of this leak. According to them, no password or bank account has been compromised.
Some comforting news for the users, who were quite worried to see their IDs and payment informations revealed. Twitch also decided to reboot all the traffic keys.
We advise you to change your password anyway, just in case !
